Standard Magnehelic gages are rated for a maximumpressure of 15psig and should not be used where that limit could be exceeded.
Newer models employ a rubberplug on the rear which fianetions as a relief valve by for pressure relief, there are four spacerpads which maintain.023"clearance when gage is surface mounted.Do not obstruct the gap created by thesc pads.
1.Select a localion free fromexeessive vi-bration and where the ambient temperature willnotexceed 140°F(60ºC). Also, avoid direct sunlight which accelerates discol-oration of the clear plastie cover. Sensinglines my be run any necessary distance. Long tubing lengths will not affect accuracy but will nerease response time slightly. Do not restrictlines. If pulsating pressures or vibration cause excessive pointer oscillation. consult the factory for ways to provide additional damping.
2. All standard Magnchelic gages are cali-brated with the diaphragm vertical and should be used in that position for maxi-mum accuracy. If gages are to be used in other than vertical position, this should be specified on the order. Many higher range gages will perform within tolerance in other positions with only rezeroing.Low' range Model 2000-00 and metric equivalents must be used in the vertical position only.
